Daily Consolidated Report

The Daily Consolidated Report lets clients reconcile transfer activity against their internal GL/DDA account - the internal account that end-user funds are moved into at the time a transfer is initiated.

This report is distinct from the Daily Transfers and Cancellation Report, which reconcile your pre-funding (FBO) account at the sponsor bank. Use the Daily Consolidated Report when you need to reconcile the internal account where end-user funds first land - independent of when PayMitto's
network partners ultimately settle.

This report can be used to:

  • Reconcile transfer activity against your internal GL/DDA account.
  • Account for differing settlement timing across Mastercard, Visa Direct, and MoneyGram.
  • Track customer hold and release activity (for clients who use that feature).
📘

Availability

The Daily Consolidated Report is available to any PayMitto client on request.

How Settlement Timing Works

When a transfer is initiated, funds move from the customer's account into your internal GL/DDA account for the full transfer amount (principal and fee may be tracked in separate internal accounts). PayMitto then instructs the network partner to send the transfer cross-border and settles with the network on a later day.

Because each network settles on a different schedule, a transfer can sit in your internal account for one or more days before it settles. The report uses a configurable cutoff window so internal activity is reported on a consistent daily boundary, regardless of network settlement timing. The Is Settled column on each row tells you whether that transfer has
settled with the network as of the report day.

Cutoff Configuration

Cutoffs are configured per network. Each supported network ships with a platform default, and the cutoff can be overridden per customer, per network.

NetworkDefault Cutoff WindowTime Zone
Mastercard12:00 AM – 12:00 AMAmerica/New_York
VisaDirect6:00 AM – 6:00 AMAmerica/New_York
MoneyGram12:00 AM – 12:00 AMAmerica/New_York
📘

Time Zone

All cutoff times are expressed in U.S. Eastern Time (EST/EDT) and observe daylight saving time.

Customer Hold Status

For clients who have enabled the customer hold and release feature, the report includes a Customer Hold Status column that reflects the most recent customer-hold event for the transfer, up to and including the report day.

ValueMeaning
On Customer HoldThe transfer is actively in a customer-initiated hold.
Released from HoldThe transfer was released from the hold by the customer.
Cancelled from HoldThe transfer was cancelled from the hold by the customer.

File Spec

Each row represents a single debit or credit entry for a transfer on a given report day. Amounts are pre-rounded when the record is written, so no additional rounding is required.

Configurable Header Columns

Columns in the Daily Consolidated Report are configurable, clients can choose to show or hide them depending on need. Some columns are tightly couple with functionality that clients opt-in to; customer hold/release, re-quote & quote honoring, etc.

Row Emission

A transfer produces at most two rows per report day: one debit and one credit.

  • Debit rows carry a value in Total Debit Amount and represent funds moved into your internal GL/DDA account.
  • Credit rows carry a value in Total Credit Amount and a Cancellation Reason. A credit row is emitted on the day a transfer is cancelled or fails, reversing the internal GL/DDA debit.
  • A transfer released from an internal compliance hold, on its own, does not emit a new row.

File Information

  • File Name: Configurable per customer. A typical convention is CustomerName_Daily_Consolidated_Report_MMDDYY.
  • File Format: CSV by default (configurable delimiter); XLSX is also supported.
  • Header Row: The file will have a header row.
  • Frequency: This file generates & delivers every single day (7 days a week, 365 days).
📘

Report Generation

When enabled, the file is generated daily regardless of whether any transfers occurred during the period. If no activity is found within the applicable timeframe, the report will include only the header row, with no accompanying data rows.
